Saint Bridget of Sweden received from Our Lord two of the most enduring prayer devotions in the Church's treasury. The first, the Fifteen Prayers of the Passion, He gave to be prayed across a single year. The second, the Seven Prayers of the Most Precious Blood, He gave to be prayed across twelve. To each He attached promises, and for six centuries the faithful have carried both the prayers and the promises through war, plague, and the quiet of ordinary days.

The Passion, Prayed gathers the two devotions into a single guided practice. The one-year Fifteen Prayers are set out as a true one-year path, and the twelve-year Seven Prayers as a twelve-year path, each with a day-by-day tracker, so that no day is lost and the long years are seen through to their end.

Surrounding the prayers stand the life of Saint Bridget and the origin of the devotions, the promises of both, the Litany of the Most Precious Blood, selected readings from her Revelations, and a prayer for every day of the year.
