St. Agnes of Rome was barely thirteen when she gave her life rather than her purity, and the Church has never let her memory fade — the lamb in her arms a sign of both her innocence and her Lord. Every January her name is spoken in the Canon, and the wool of her lambs blessed for the pallium.
