St. Agatha Lin Zhao, virgin and catechist of Guizhou, ran a school for girls in a China where the faith was outlawed — and when the choice came, she chose the lesson over her life, beheaded in 1858 among the Martyrs of China. Her classroom outlived the edicts; her students' grandchildren keep the faith she died spelling out.
